No. The bikes are equipped with a throttle. However, for safety reason, these are typically on a low setting, enough to help you start pedaling, or assist while walking the bike through rough terrain.
The bikes do not function like a motorcycle. You must be able to pedal consistently to complete any of the trails we offer.
We can take requests for increased throttle capacity for special needs or uses. However, riders should know that the battery will be drained much more quickly with increased throttle use and peddling is still necessary for operation.
-
Our batteries last around 40 miles as long as the biker is pedaling throughout the ride.
Factors which impact battery life include:
-The terrain of the trail.
-Weight of the rider.
-Use & level of pedal assist versus using the throttle.
